Important Program Information

Course /Church Attendance

A key part of faith formation is attendance. Our instructional time with students is very limited therefore it's imperative that Parents and Guardians play a significant role in developing our student's religious education. This formation can be fostered by parents when they review religion class activities with their children. In addition, adult participation in Holy Days of Obligation, Reconciliation, youth service activities, fund-raising events and weekly Masses help to model for our children and other students our faith in action.

Our Curriculum

It is important that along with participating in our faith community through Mass and attending Religious Education classes, that parents also work with their children at home to reinforce the concepts taught at Mass in classes. The following document houses all of the curricula for our PreK-8 curriculum. The curriculum includes the major focus points and prayers taught at each of the aforementioned grade levels. Take some time to learn the curricula and reinforce these elements of our faith at home with your children. Click here to open our PreK-8th Grade Curriculum.

Safety During Drop off/Pick up

    1. Please, do not drive through the carport. We do not want to risk having a child run out in front of you.
    2. Please, remember come into the Church to pick up your children.

"But Jesus said, " Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.""

Matthew 19:14

Thank You Volunteer Instructors:

Kindergarten

Instructor:   Mary Heintz

Meet Your Teacher: Mary Heintz
This will be my tenth year teaching at St. Thomas, but for the last 23 years, I have been teaching Religious Education for preschool on Sundays at my husband's church in Lodi. It is my honor to work with your sons and daughters. I enjoy the trust and innocence of this age of students. I like to the stories of the Bible and listen to the responses and questions from the little ones; they teach me a lot too. Parents, you are most welcome to walk into our class anytime to see what we are doing.  "As you teach, you shall learn."

First Grade

Instructors:

Maddie Lee

This will be my first year teaching at St Thomas.  I am looking forward to working with your children as I help them learn more about their faith, through learning the rosary, introducing them to prayers and reading bible stories.

Second Grade

Instructors: LuAnn Fugiel   & Gretchen Crase

Meet your teachers welcome: We are looking forward to working with you and your child to prepare him/her for receiving the special Holy Sacraments for our second grade. Your children will receive their first Reconciliation and their first Holy Communion this year; God's message of forgiveness and love. Please feel free to call or stop in to learn more about what's happening in our class.
